During the COVID-19 pandemic, the courts continue to operate virtually. The New Jersey Courts website provides a wealth of information for the public and can answer most questions you have.

Go to NJCourts.gov, click on “COVID-19 Self-Help Resources” to find information and videos that will assist you with:

– How to appear in Court virtually.
– How to file court documents online through JEDS.
– How to start a court case.

The website also provides forms and guidance as to specific types of cases, such as those that involve couples and families, homes and evictions, criminal matters, tax court, municipal court, appeals, guardianship proceedings for adults, juvenile delinquency and lawsuits to collect money.
