In cases with the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), previously DYFS, where DCP&P has temporary physical custody of your child(ren), you are entitled to have visitation.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, in person visits were suspended and only virtual/on-line visits were available until July 3, 2020. Starting on July 3, 2020, in-person visits may now occur and safety measures must be followed. Parents are permitted to hug and hold their child but are currently prohibited from kissing their child on the face and cannot bring food to the visits.
